We usually go on our reviews after the lunch crowds are gone. But not today. We hit one of the most popular eateries, Ted's cafe Escondido, slap dab in the middle of the lunch rush. And we learned a few things.
But first, the parking. Ted's had 5 disabled parking spots right at the front. And the ramp was extra wide. So far, so good.
The front door was a double-wide and easy to navigate. But now it gets a little complicated. The waiting area is up a couple of steps. And if you go during regular lunch and dinner hours, you WILL wait for a table. So my only option was to hang around the To Go area and spend our 15 minute wait moving out of people's way.
The aisles were surprisingly wide and I was easily seated at a table. My wheels did stick out a bit into the aisle and that caused a child's booster seat to be boosted over my head.
The restroom door was too heavy but the stall door was perfect. There was plenty of room inside the stall, EXCEPT there was a fold down changing table. Which was down. I had to close it to have enough room. In fact, I had to close it twice and even then there was no assuring click. The soap dispenser was just flat too high and unreachable.
Sooner or later you'll go to Ted's. Make sure it's not at lunch time.
