Inca Trail Peruvian Restaurant

We start out with some problems with the Disabled Parking. The spot closest to the restaurant is in bad shape and the ramp and cut-out are right in front of your car. Ya gotta love those landlords that try to do it on the cheap. Wait a minute. No you don’t! As I was murmuring and backing out of the space to find another, I got that Déjà vu feeling. Then it hit me. This is the exact same Disabled spot we used when visiting Old School Bagel, also reviewed here. The same spin your wheels and jump over the hood to get to the sidewalk spot. In need of repair and rethinking then and still in need of repair and rethinking . Always remember, though, these are landlord issues. Not restaurant issues. There are other Disabled parking spots in the general area that are better, so plan on wheeling it on the sidewalk for a bit. We chose to just park in the middle of the lot. Not a wise choice because the entire parking lot is in disrepair.

The front door opened into a small news rack area and then there was a door to the restaurant. Because you have those news racks to avoid, you have to plan your angle of entry in advance. Both going in and coming out.

Inside there was plenty of room to wheel around. Tables in the center and booths on the sides. And there was easy access to the bathroom. The bathroom had a door knob so I thought it would be a regular door. But, no. It was one of those hydraulic doors. This one was set on “stun” so it was difficult to get in and out. The stall had a handle on the inside (good thing) but it would always swing to a half open state (bad thing). I had to reach over my chair to grab the lower edge of the stall door and then grab the handle. I’ve seen better but I’ve most certainly seen worse. And you could reach the TP.

A final note. This is a pay at the counter after the meal restaurant. I prefer to pay at the table. The counter was almost as high as a pharmacist counter. Much too high for me to reach and sign the credit card receipt.

This is an Incan restaurant not a Mayan restaurant. You should be able to eat there after December 12.

Editor Note: This restaurant would have a much higher rating if not for the bad Disabled Parking spot. With a little effort, you can work around it and have a good experience.
