First thing to remember: Eischen's is a bar. It's more suited for folks on motorcycles than folks in wheelchairs.

Second thing to remember: sooner or later you'll want to go there. Their fried chicken is an Oklahoma treasure. So this isn't an actual review of their accessibility. It's a tip sheet.

There is only one way to get into the place if you're in a wheelchair - through the back service door. My wife went inside and explained the situation and asked if we could come in through that service door. There is no disabled parking near that door. In fact there is barely any parking there. But after they moved a few trash bins, we got in.

There was ample room to get to the several long tables set up in the rear of the restaurant .....err..... bar. I was lucky to find an aisle space. They serve fried chicken, chili, pop and beer.

I didn't have the heart to try their bathroom. I'm not sure I could have even gotten to it. So, don't drink too much pop and beer.

In short, Eischen's is an adventure. If you understand from the outset that it will not easily accommodate your disabilities, you can have fun.
