It's a drive-though only restaurant, and as such, there's not much to say about accessibility. I almost didn't write this review because of that. But then I realized that every disabled person ought to keep this restaurant on their radar.
We've been going to the Charcoal Oven for over 50 years. My family was one of the first customers. Really, we were. It was a hop, skip and an onion ring from our house. As an adult (not yet in a wheel chair) I'd eat there very, very often. It was just convenient and easy. When I had my own family, we'd eat there because it was convenient and easy. But, somehow, after I landed in this chair, I sort of forgot about how convenient and easy it is.
You drive your car through the lane to the Place Your Order Here speakers. Then you wind around to the pick up and pay window. Then you drive into the covered parking areas. There is patio seating in the center of the front yard, but you have to get over a curb (I think). I think I've seen people in that patio area once in those 50 years. We've always stayed in the covered parking.
So if you're out and about, and don't want the accessibility hassles of a dine-in restaurant, (and you've had all the Big Macs you can take) don't forget about the Charcoal Oven.
