Once again we set out in one direction and ended up in another. We wound up at Cafe Kacao because 3 other restaurants were full. (Of course, it was straight up noon.) We parked in the only Disabled Parking spot in the lot and then we pulled out and then we drove back in. It was just hard to make decisions today.

But that indecision is exactly why we started these reviews. I just didn't feel adventurous. I had no information about the place. I didn't know what to expect inside. But I'm glad we decided to stay.

Two things of note here. There was no posted sign in front of the Disabled Parking spot. But the spot itself had just been repainted. Hard to miss, but again, no posted sign.

The Disabled Parking spot was extremely wide, but without a painted loading zone. There was plenty of room for one, it just wasn't painted.

The ramp was accessible from the car without entering any traffic lane. And the ramp was easy to navigate and in good condition, as was the cut out.

Oddly, the outside front door had a doorknob. Inside in the entry way there are newspaper racks which make the 90 degree left turn through another door and into the dining area trickier than it needs to be.

Inside there are plenty of accessible tables and it's easy navigation everywhere.

There was a clear and unobstructed path to the restrooms. However, the doors to the restrooms had doorknobs. The tension on the door was lighter than most. The restrooms are single occupancy with locks in the doorknobs. As an aside, the overhead lights were flickering, giving the whole experience a little "Outer Limits" feel. There was enough room inside but there could have been more but for the obligatory table with a floral arrangement. Come on folks. Ditch the flowers and give us more turning room. And, oh yes, there were grab bars and easily reached T.P.

Again, I'm glad we decided to stay.
